Let’s make CTI great (again)!

On 5th and 6th November 2018, the annual CTI-EU event took place in Brussels. CTI-EU is organised by  European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) in cooperation with DG Connect, CERT-EU and EDA

The event had various sessions with different focus (see full agenda here):

  • CTI best practices and maturity model
  • Active Cyber Defence
  • CTI standards
  • Misinformation campaigns
  • CTI in the EU and policy implications

The presentations and panel discussions triggered a lot of interaction and participants were eager to speak up. Moreover, I really enjoyed having met new people, exchanged ideas, success/failure stories and learned new things in our field.

Regarding my presentation, during the 20-minute talk I lightly touched on the top 3 areas that CTI teams have scored poorly during the previous 5 years:

  • Stakeholder management and intelligence requirements collection
  • Intelligence dissemination
  • CTI analyst skillset

The presentation can be found here.

The references mentioned during the presentation can he found here.

All in all, it was a great 2-day event and I am looking forward to participate again next year!
