On 13 September 2023, ENISA CTI-EU 2023 took place in Athens. I had the pleasure to attend and present during the conference and it was an opportunity to meet again with many of EU-based CTI peers.
My presentation was all about how CTI teams work with Physical Intelligence teams within organisations, common intelligence requirements, and knowledge transfer opportunities. My (biased) perspective on this cyber – physical collaboration journey was provided as well as a couple of 2 recent examples to showcase the value. Finally, the presentation concluded with a call to action: CTI teams should start the discussion with the physical intelligence teams (if this is not already happening), identify common areas for collaboration and intelligence requirements to work together, be prepared when major geopolitical events happen (spend time now to save time later in the future).

The agenda of ENISA CTI-EU 2023 was interesting with lots of CTI insights. I created this Twitter thread to keep up with some notes about the presentations of CTI-EU:
On 12 September 2023, ENISA’s Ah-hoc working group meeting on cyber threat landscapes took place at ENISA premises in Athens. It was nice to meet all members of the working group, exchange perspectives, and engage closer with ENISA’s CTI team. The night out was also amazing with a splendid view!

Finally, on 14 September 2023, I was also able to join ENISA’s ThreatHunt 2030 conference! This conference’s focus is foresight on future and emerging threats in 2030. You can find Threathunt 2030 agenda here. The most interesting part of the conference was the panel where the Deputy Head of the SSSCIP Ukraine, Victor Zhora, participated. Victor provided the latest insights and trends regarding the cyber front in Ukraine and discussed on future threats with the Head of Strategic Communications of European External Action Service (Lutz Guellner) and ENISA’s Executive Director (Juhan Lepassaar).

All in all, 3 full days in Athens full of interesting presentations and panels, connecting with CTI peers, and enjoying sunny Athens ! Huge success and well done to ENISA for well organizing all these :)
